As a new patient to our clinic, here is what you will experience:
Chair Assistant, Carol Lawlor, will greet you and accept your health card (O.H.I.P) and identification of your home address. In addition, she will need your phone number and e-mail address and, if possible, the name, address and fax number of your family physician.
The practitioner, will ask about your foot health — your general health — past surgeries — current medication — sensitivities and allergies. He will then examine your feet and ankles by — first the skin — then circulation — neurologic tests, then musculo- skeletal strength and range.
Diagnosis
The result will be reviewed with you and options of care discussed.
Prognosis
The course of care selected after discussion will be decided and expected results and ongoing care explained, including fees.
Treatment
General podiatric care — basic care of nails — corns and callouses will be cared for at this visit. We also offer treatment options which include cortisone injections, orthotics, rehabilitation program, injury prevention, gait analysis and access to platelet rich protein injections for more chronic conditions.
A fee of $80.00 is assessed for this service.
